Indigenous History Month: Nashobah Praying Indians

Please join the Littleton Conservation Trust in celebrating Indigenous History Month and the local Indigenous tribe, the Nashobah Praying Indians.

Prior to Littleton, this land was originally Chief Tahattawan’s Nashope, which in 1654 became the Nashobah Praying Indian Plantation of the Massachusett Nation.

The good news is the Nashobah are alive and well, and living in Littleton on historical-tribal lands, hosting public walks, talks, powwows, and other cultural events.

The Littleton Conservation Trust celebrates its ongoing partnership with the Nashobah and asks you to join them in support in a brotherhood of peoples.

Other local groups such as the Littleton Historical Society and Friends of Pine Hawk are also strong supporters of the Nashobah.

Please join the LCT in supporting Indigenous History Month, and Nashobah Praying Indian programs in Littleton by sending donations and well-wishes to the Nashobah Praying Indians non-profit organization.

Please make checks out to Friends of the Nashobah Praying Indians, PO Box 2272, Littleton, MA, 01460. Your donations are tax deductible and help pay for public Nashobah cultural events in Littleton.
