Join host Dustin Neild for a guided walk of Long Lake Park, focusing on the active Bluebird/Tree Swallow trail. Learn about nestbox monitoring best practices. The group will likely see nests at all stages from starter to established with nestlings of varying ages while learning about how to identify the nest of common cavity nesters: eastern bluebird, tree swallow, house wren & (the dreaded) house sparrow. Past iterations of this walk have also encountered fawns, owls, scarlet tanagers, indigo buntings and other wildlife. Group will be limited to 12-15 participants. In the case of rain, the event will be moved to the following day.
