Presentation about Sarah Doublet, the last Native American to reside at the Nashobah Praying Indian Plantation / New Town Indian Village. Presented by Sarah’s descendent, Quiet Storm of the Nashoban Band of the Massachuet Tribe.

Includes information about the two retired nurses, Edith Jenkins and Fanny Knapp, who bequeathed the 98 acre parcel to the Littleton Conservation Trust. Local historian and Littleton Historic Society Director Dan Boudillion will lead a short interpretive walk of the land and highlight some Native American landscape features.

This event is cosponsored by Freedom’s Way, our local National Heritage Area organization, as part of its program, in celebration of the Women’s Vote Centennial by sharing the stories of women who impacted our Heritage Area.
