Join Land Stewards Jim and Karen O’Neil on the day after Thanksgiving, November 24th, as they lead a Black Friday walk at Long Lake Park. This will be a moderately difficult two hour hike through the diverse 180 acre park. We will meet at the parking area on Harwood Ave. The hike will begin at 1:00 PM. We will wander along various trails in search of a decorated Holiday Tree where we will stop for pictures. The Holiday Tree is one of more than a dozen trees which will be decorated at various conservation areas this Holiday season as part of the Littleton Little Town Tree Hunt 2017.
Please see the trail and property descriptions and area map at: https://littletonconservationtrust.org/tws_holding/long-lake-park/. Reviewing this information beforehand will make your visit more rewarding. There is no fee and no pre-registration is required. Hiking shoes or other footwear with good traction are recommended, as parts of the trails are rocky and steep. No dogs allowed on this hike. In the event of rain, the hike will be re-scheduled.
